Joe Davis has been the CEO of Custom Engineering since 1999, where he has led the firm to sustained success and industry recognition for over two decades. Under his leadership, the company has consistently been named one of the top small businesses by the Kansas City Business Journal for 25+ consecutive years—an achievement that reflects his commitment to operational excellence, client satisfaction, and strategic growth.

As CEO, Mr. Davis oversees all aspects of the firm’s operations, including human resources, project delivery, fee negotiations, and quality assurance. His hands-on approach ensures that every project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest professional standards. In addition to managing internal teams, he plays a pivotal role in business development and cultivating long-term client relationships.

Before joining Custom Engineering, Mr. Davis spent over 13 years with 3M in engineering and sales, where he developed a strong foundation in technical expertise and customer-driven solutions. Today, he leverages that background to lead a multidisciplinary team focused on innovation, service, and sustainable growth.

Joe has a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and he is a certified LEEP AP.
